Learn how to manage obesity in four common patient case scenarios: Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Nutritional Interventions in the Complex Patient, Coronary Artery Disease and Obesity Treatment, and Complex Conditions around Bariatric Surgery and explore the impact of obesity treatment on each of these associated patient scenarios. You'll take in how to recognize key components in the evaluation including medical history, physical exam, and laboratory results as well as how to identify and adjust concurrent medications to support weight management. Additionally, you'll learn how to prioritize treatment approach for adiposity-related diseases, conditions or lifestyle factors based on your findings during the initial evaluation, examine the root causes of each associated disease to effectively treat both the obesity-related disease and the obesity, and use effective communication and collaboration approaches with other providers on the patient’s healthcare team.
